Job summary

Stack Adapt is seeking a Temporary Senior Motion Designer to support an in-house design team on motion and video projects through the remainder of 2026. The role is remote-first, Canada-wide, and offers an hourly rate between CAD 55 and CAD 74, depending on seniority and experience.

You will deliver polished motion content across brand videos, social, web, and events, collaborating with designers and marketers to translate messages into compelling visuals.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional motion design or video editing.
• Strong After Effects and Premiere Pro; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Portfolio demonstrating motion design, animation, editing, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Produce motion content for brand videos, event visuals, promotional assets, social media, web, and other marketing surfaces.
• Move projects from brief or storyboard through animation, editing, revisions, and final delivery.
• Apply established brand guidelines and creative direction to keep motion work consistent and polished.
• Translate marketing and product messages into clear, engaging visual stories.
• Support larger campaigns and events with video edits, social clips, web animations, GIFs, presentation assets, and other motion deliverables.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders throughout the creative process.

• Use templates, motion systems, and existing assets efficiently while contributing improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Five or more years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or video editing.
• Strong proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Portfolio demonstrating motion design, animation, editing, and visual storytelling.
• Solid grasp of animation, typography, composition, pacing, and design fundamentals.
• Comfort taking creative direction, incorporating feedback, and managing multiple deliverables at once.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment.

• Interest in experimenting with AI and generative creative tools to improve workflow and ideation.
