Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years mortgage underwriting experience.
• Solid understanding of Freddie Mac and HUD rules and guidelines.
• Proficient in automated underwriting systems, including LP.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites first mortgage loans (FHA, Correspondents, bank-originated) within lending authority.
• Evaluate income, assets, credit reports, and appraisals for accuracy and compliance.
• Review DU/LP/FHA Total Score Card and resubmit data to automated systems.
• Provide training/guidance to processors and junior underwriters and help set underwriting standards.
