Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer III to lead virtual analysis and co-simulation efforts across mechanical systems. You will develop multi-physics models, validate them against test data, and drive durability and performance improvements.

The role requires 5+ years of simulation experience, expertise in Adams/MotionSolve/Simscape Multibody, Python/C++, and MATLAB/Simulink, with a track record in delivering authoritative technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience with simulation tools and co-simulation
• Hands-on experience with MBD tools such as Adams, MotionSolve, Simscape Multibody, Simpack, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of 1-D simulation tools (Simscape, Dymola, AmeSim)
• Proficiency in Python, C++, CLI or similar tools
• Understanding of control systems and MATLAB/Simulink
• Ability to process and analyze test data using signal-processing techniques

Responsibilities

• Lead development and performance analysis of programs using virtual analysis workflows and co-simulation tools
• Drive innovation in virtual simulation tools and methods
• Architect, develop and execute virtual models integrating hardware and software
• Develop and integrate multi-physics simulation tools to calibrate software and hardware
• Create and deploy FMUs and interface models for cross-functional teams
• Develop durability requirements, load cases, verification plans
• Build and correlate multibody dynamics models to predict loads and motions
• Collaborate with design/test/materials/systems teams to improve durability
• Document assumptions, methods, correlation results and recommendations
