Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a dynamic Manager to lead model validation and internal audit engagements for Financial Services clients. The role requires hands-on validation with strong audit, controls, or risk management background, guiding teams and communicating findings to clients.

You will manage engagements, assess governance and controls, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with internal teams to mitigate risk and improve operations. This role includes travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in model validation and/or internal audit, risk management, or internal controls within financial services.
• Strong understanding of model risk management and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading model validations or internal audits over complex models, systems, or data.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent model validation or model risk internal audit engagements for banks, asset managers and other financial institutions.
• Assess model governance, control design, documentation, change management, and operating effectiveness across complex models.
• Design and execute testing of inputs/outputs, data transformations, rules, and calculations using analytics tools.
• Communicate findings clearly in reports and client presentations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects to meet quality standards.
