Job summary

Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Senior Security Engineer specialized in mobile malware analysis to join our team. The role focuses on static/dynamic analysis of Android and iOS malware, reverse engineering ARM/ARM64 binaries, and building robust defensive tooling.

You will produce MITRE ATT&CK for Mobile mappings, collaborate with forensics and cyber operations teams, and stay ahead of threats through ongoing research and development of automated detection approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with required experience.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance.
• Proficiency in ARM/ARM64 assembly and low-level binary analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Android and iOS internals (APK/IPA structure, ART runtime, Mach-O binaries).
• Hands-on experience with Ghidra, IDA Pro, Jadx, Frida, MobSF, Corellium.
• Scripting in Python; familiarity with Java, Kotlin, or Swift.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic analysis of mobile malware on Android and iOS platforms.
• Reverse engineer ARM/ARM64 binaries; unpack APK/IPA files and analyze malware.
• Identify C2 infrastructure, persistence, IOC, and data exfiltration indicators.
• Identify vulnerabilities in binaries and recommend defensive actions.
• Develop tooling, automation scripts, and YARA signatures; build detection methods.
• Produce reports with MITRE ATT&CK for Mobile mappings and remediation guidance.
• Stay updated on evolving threats through ongoing research.
• Collaborate with forensics, vulnerability research, and cyber operations teams.
