Job summary

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Senior Mobile App Engineer to build cross-platform apps that interface with EEG headbands and wearables, delivering high-fidelity data for patients and clinicians.

You will own UX, performance, and observability, collaborating with Devices and Platform teams to shape the mobile platform and roadmap.

The role offers a remote-first arrangement with in-person hubs in Boston and New York, with US Eastern time zone applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development (native iOS/Android and/or React Native).
• Experience with BLE, sensor integration, or health data streams.
• Product-minded with focus on UX, edge cases, and performance.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Expo, GitHub.
• Strong communication and comfort working in an async, collaborative environment.
• Bonus: experience with medical devices, EEG, or wearables.
• Bonus: integrated BLE peripherals into iOS/Android apps.
• Bonus: native code in addition to React Native; clinical trial apps or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop React Native mobile applications and native iOS/Android BLE SDKs.
• Design and implement UX workflows for trial participants and at-home diagnostic patients.
• Own the user experience, app performance, reliability, and observability of the apps and features.
• Partner with Devices, Platform teams, and product designers to deeply integrate with Beacon's product ecosystem.
• Help shape the roadmap and technical direction of the mobile platform.
• In first 3–6 months, build in-app feature to validate EEG signal quality, improve BLE pairing, streamline onboarding, and deploy features for Clinical Operations.
