Job summary

Airwallex Pty Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Engineer to build high-quality native mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will work with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver reliable and performant features while employing modern frameworks and best practices.

The role is hybrid and based in San Francisco, with opportunities to shape architecture and contribute to the mobile stack at scale.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience developing native mobile applications on iOS or Android.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience shipping production apps.
Strong focus on code quality and testable code with good test coverage.
Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Bitrise).

Responsibilities

Take ownership of design, implementation, and delivery of key features across iOS and Android apps.
Collaborate with engineers to define architecture and drive high-quality standards.
Influence how we scale and evolve mobile apps and contribute to long-term technical direction.
Go beyond feature development and contribute to team processes and product decisions.
Be a hands-on technical leader ensuring clean, testable code and continuous improvement.
