Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a dynamic attorney with extensive experience in mobile commercial law to support SEA’s mobile business.

You will negotiate, draft, and review complex agreements and advise on regulatory and compliance issues affecting the mobile operations. Position requires a JD with 10+ years of legal practice, 5+ years in mobile sales/marketing, and bar admission in good standing with the ability to become TX in-house counsel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an Accredited US Law School with 10+ years of legal practice experience.
• 5+ years of legal experience in mobile consumer sales, marketing, and operations.
• Member in good standing of one US State Bar, and ability to become member in good standing of TX bar or qualify as in-house counsel in TX.
• Experience providing legal support to Mobile retail and/or B2B sales and/or marketing teams preferred.
• Ability to make professional legal and business presentations in writing, via emails/reports or orally to a high-technical audience.
• Ability to direct outside counsel cost-effectively and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and review complex commercial agreements; assess risks.
• Provide guidance on regulatory issues including telecommunications and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support commercial objectives while managing risk.
• Work with Samsung’s legal team and business leaders on complex commercial matters.
• Identify emerging legal and regulatory risks for the business.
