Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Mobile Automation Testing Software Engineer III in New York to join a fast‑moving agile team. You will design and deliver trusted mobile testing solutions across iOS and Android, integrating automated tests into CI pipelines and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to boost quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on mobile QA testing for iOS and Android, including manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Android Studio and Xcode.
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator, XCUITest, XCTest).
• Ability to design test strategies across UI, API/service, integration and choose automation levels.
• Experience with CI/CD and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise) and Git workflows.
• Strong mobile security knowledge (OAuth2/OIDC/PKCE) and secure coding basics.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret logs and crash reports.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Executes QA solutions including test planning, design, manual testing, test automation for iOS/Android apps.
• Creates and maintains clear test cases and regression suites with traceability to requirements.
• Develops and maintains automated tests and integrates into CI pipelines.
• Troubleshoots issues, analyzes logs/crash reports, communicates root causes to engineering.
• Tests with APIs, data dependencies and environment mocks.
• Collaborates in an agile team to shift testing left and improve DoD.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed, and security.
• Applies SDLC tools and secure coding standards in automation.
