Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Middle Market P&C in a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX or Alpharetta, GA with travel for broker needs. Manage broker relationships and underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet profitability targets.

Requires 2+ years MM P&C underwriting, strong risk assessment and market analysis, and ability to draft robust policy wordings. Competitive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty (MM P&C) underwriting experience.
• Undergraduate degree required; economics/finance/insurance management/business preferred.
• Established relationships with brokers at peer level within MM P&C market.
• Specialized understanding of regional/local insurance markets and competitors.

Responsibilities

• Manage broker portfolio to achieve profitability and growth.
• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet targets.
• Negotiate price and terms with producers.
• Serve as a technical expert in the MM P&C product line.
• Ensure placing and binding of FAC Reinsurance prior to policy inception.
• Develop relationships with brokers/agents in territory for new business or renewals.
• Handle complex referrals and re-underwrite as needed.
• Coordinate with MMC, ARC, Claims, and Operations in underwriting process.
