Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an ML Security Engineer to lead security for AI/ML systems in a 100% remote role across the U.S. Capable of designing defenses for LLMs, model APIs, and data pipelines, you will build threat models and implement runtime detections while partnering with privacy and compliance teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in security engineering, deep AI security knowledge, and strong Python and systems programming skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• Six or more years of security engineering experience, including AI/ML systems.
• Strong understanding of LLM internals, AI architectures, and common failure modes.
• Hands‑on experience designing security controls for AI-powered applications.
• Deep knowledge of cryptography, identity, and access controls.
• Experience with threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
• Familiarity with adversarial ML and prompt injection research.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems language.
• Solid cloud security knowledge and modern infrastructure controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement security controls for LLM and AI risks.
• Build threat models for AI systems, including prompt injection and data exfiltration.
• Design guardrails, content filters, and policy layers around model endpoints.
• Implement runtime detection and response for adversarial prompts and abusive behavior.
• Secure training/fine-tuning pipelines with data provenance and access controls.
• Lead red-team exercises and remediation efforts for AI systems.
• Evaluate third-party AI services and open-source AI components used internally.
• Implement identity, authorization, and tenant isolation for multi-tenant AI services.
• Drive supply chain security for ML artifacts including weights and datasets.
• Collaborate with privacy, legal, and compliance teams to meet regulatory obligations.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and detection strategies for AI workloads.
• Lead incident response for AI security events and drive improvements.
• Stay current with adversarial ML, LLM security research, and regulatory developments.
