Axon in Seattle is hiring a Machine Learning Scientist to advance LLM/MLLM and computer vision technologies across our cloud, devices, and robotics platforms. You will design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.

The role requires a PhD with 5+ years for ML Scientist, and up to 10+ years for Principal levels, with strong Python/C/C++, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and ROS experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or related field with focus on LLM/MLLM/Computer Vision.
• Strong publication record in top conferences or journals.
• Experience with ML development lifecycle from data to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own key technical areas across LLM, MLLM, CV product portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership to junior scientists and guide research to product impact.
• Develop and evaluate LLM/MLLM/CV models for cloud, devices and sensors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deploy cutting-edge AI solutions.
