Axon Enterprise in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Scientist to join our AI team, focusing on LLM, MLLM, GenAI across cloud, devices and robotics. You will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge models to enable intelligent perception and reasoning over multimodal data.

We expect a PhD with 5+ years (8+ for senior) in CS or related field, with strong Python/C++ and DL frameworks.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or a related field with focus on LLM/MLLM/GenAI/CV.
• 5+ years of ML Scientist experience or 8+ for Sr. ML Scientist, 10+ for Principal.
• Strong programming in Python and C/C++.
• Experience with DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and ROS.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead ML/AI research in LLM/MLLM/CV across cloud, devices and robotics.
• Design, implement and optimize scalable models for inference and multimodal data.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
