Job summary

Oxipital AI, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to build and optimize our deep learning vision stack.

You will lead model design, training, and deployment for production‑grade computer vision solutions, collaborating with software engineers and cross‑functional teammates across the product lifecycle. This role calls for strong Python expertise, experience with PyTorch, Linux environments, and cloud pipelines (AWS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with deep neural networks for computer vision applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries like PyTorch, NumPy, or OpenCV.
• Experience with Linux environments, designing, prototyping, and evaluating ML features.
• Experience with researching and implementing cutting-edge ML techniques from academia.
• Knowledge of software development best practices such as issue tracking, static checks, and automated testing preferred.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Expand ML model architectures with new capabilities and performance improvements.
• Optimize the efficiency of models during training and inference.
• Design, develop, and maintain tools for training, deploying, and evaluating vision-based ML models.
• Research cutting-edge ML techniques and integrate them into the stack.
• Contribute to a robust and scalable product pipeline.
