Job summary

Flow Traders in Chicago is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to lead the research framework and productionize trading models. You will expand the framework to set a global standard for training, combining, and transforming data in a data-driven way.

You will design end-to-end ML pipelines, deploy models via REST and microservices, and work with big data technologies in a production environment. This role requires an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in MLOps and Research Engineering.
• Proficient in Python with ML libraries TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
• End-to-end ML pipelines: preprocessing, training, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience designing and deploying systematic trading systems.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices for model serving.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP and Big Data (Hadoop, Spark).
• Ability to visualize data and interact with data sources and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and rollout of our research framework for training models.
• Develop tools for Quant Researchers and Traders to test hypotheses and tune strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and iterate on design.
