Delos is seeking a Senior ML Performance Characterization Engineer to lead the development of a performance analysis tool for their cutting-edge ML accelerator, Sohu. This role involves designing the tool architecture, capturing performance data, and collaborating with engineers to optimize workload performance.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, memory hierarchies, and interconnects.
• Experience in low-level performance analysis and profiling on complex hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of a comprehensive performance analysis suite.
• Develop methods to capture performance data from custom ML accelerators.
• Implement tracing for host-side API calls and system-level events.
• Build analysis modules to interpret collected trace data.
