Job summary

Elsevier, a global information analytics leader, seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to push AI-based features, including GenAI and RAG, across health platforms. You will bridge data science and engineering to deliver secure, scalable services for one of the world’s largest medical and scholarly datasets.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and responsible AI experts, building end-to-end ML pipelines, governance, and cost-efficient infrastructure while staying

Qualifications

• Experience in ML engineering, MLOps, shipping ML/GenAI systems to production.
• Strong Python, Java, and/or Scala is a plus.
• Hands-on with major cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Experience with search/vector/graph technologies (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch/Solr/Neo4j).
• Experience evaluating LLM models and NLP tasks.

Responsibilities

• Automate and orchestrate ML workflows across cloud platforms.
• Maintain model registries and artifact stores for reproducibility.
• Develop and manage CI/CD for ML including data validation and testing.
• Implement ML engineering solutions using MLOps platforms such as SageMaker, MLflow, Azure ML.
• Design and implement GAR+RAG systems and related retrieval pipelines.
