Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior ML Engineer in Ann Arbor (Remote) to lead end-to-end Vision-Language-Action data pipelines for autonomous vehicle research. You will own the dataset layer, enabling scalable annotation, auto-labeling, and rigorous data validation.

The role requires senior expertise in CV/DL, multimodal ML, and cloud data processing, with a track record of mentoring and leading technical teams. Remote-friendly with strong collaboration across locations.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years with Bachelor's or 3+ with Master's in a related technical field.
• Strong background in computer vision or multimodal ML is expected.
• Experience building cloud-based pipelines and data processing for large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy cloud-based data pipelines for VLA training datasets.
• Develop open-vocabulary detection, dense captioning, and semantic enrichment.
• Produce language-grounded reasoning and annotation for VLA training.
• Identify rare/high-uncertainty scenarios to improve model metrics.
• Define dataset schemas, quality metrics, and validation processes.
• Collaborate with model teams to specify dataset requirements and enable continuous delivery.
• Build distributed pipelines using columnar data formats and distributed compute.
• Lead projects, mentor engineers, and set coding/annotation standards.
• Track advances in multimodal models and auto-labeling for practical use.
