Job summary

Menlo Ventures is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join Kinetic Automation's production-minded team in Costa Mesa. The role involves implementing training loops, curating datasets, and driving high-priority experiments in vision models for vehicle repair automation. Candidates should have hands-on experience with deep learning, familiarity with PyTorch and AWS, and strong independent thinking abilities. Qualifications

• Hands-on experience training and evaluating deep models for segmentation and detection (PyTorch).
• Understanding how Transformer/LLM building blocks map to vision.
• Practical exposure to 2D/3D data, point clouds, and camera geometry.
• Experience with dataset curation and quality checks.
• Strong independent thinking and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement training loops and curate datasets.
• Drive high-priority experiments and partner with cross-functional teams.
• Run experiments to track metrics and write clear experiment notes.
• Provide production support by exporting models and writing inference code.
