Job summary

Strider Technologies is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Tysons, VA to lead production ML pipeline development for scalable document classification.

You will design and deploy end-to-end ML solutions, from exploratory analysis to production, leveraging AWS and modern NLP techniques. Collaboration with intelligence and engineering teams will translate multilingual data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning or AI.
• Strong Python skills with production-oriented code.
• Experience with large, complex datasets and evaluating quality/tradeoffs.
• Experience deploying ML pipelines in production using AWS.
• Strong NLP knowledge: tokenization, entity extraction, disambiguation, language models.
• Excellent communication with engineering, product teams, and leadership.
• Self-motivated, pragmatic, and impact-oriented with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ML solutions for document classification.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle from exploration to production deployment.
• Take models from R&D into production with AWS deployment and monitoring.
• Ensure reliability and performance of ML applications through testing and optimization.
• Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude) to improve velocity while keeping code quality high.
• Lead design and code reviews and provide technical guidance to the team.
