Job summary

Capital One seeks a Machine Learning Engineer 4 to design, build, and deploy ML models at scale in a production environment. You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Ops to deliver state-of-the-art ML solutions across cloud platforms and on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements include 4+ years in Python/Java/Golang/C++, 4+ years with PyTorch or TensorFlow, and experience with Spark/Ray and Kubernetes in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
• At least 4 years of Machine Learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• At least 4 years of experience using and operating large scale distributed systems (Spark, Ray).
• At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production and cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and using Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions with modeling techniques and data considerations.
• Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, automate tests and deployment.
• Collaborate in an Agile cross-functional team to create software for big data and ML apps.
• Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
• Leverage cloud-based architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
• Construct data pipelines to feed ML models.
• Apply CI/CD, test automation, and monitoring for deployment success.
• Ensure code governance and responsible AI practices.
