Job summary

Equifax is hiring a Senior ML Engineer to build the MLOps foundation and an interpretability framework for credit risk engines. The role focuses on scalable Transformer-based deployment and glass-box tooling for regulatory insight.

You'll bridge AI research with production fintech workflows, defining projects for engineers, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring transparent, defensible AI aligned with global regulatory scrutiny.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of related work experience including leadership of ML/MLE/DS teams.
• Experience with end-to-end ML model development from ideation to deployment.
• Experience bridging research and production in finance or risk domains.
• Strong communication and collaboration with executives, customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design complex systems of systems for training and running machine learning models with industry best practice.
• Define projects and scope for teams of engineers and guide their completion.
• Develop, identify, and report intellectual property through patent applications and white papers.
• Demonstrate effective communication with executives, customers, and partners.
• Lead deployment and delivery from analysis and design through to production.
• Mentor colleagues and promote best practices across the IT organization.
