Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join an Agile team focused on productionizing ML applications at scale in New York. You will design and implement ML models, build data pipelines, and ensure reliable, secure deployments in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 4+ years programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components for real-world problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions with modeling techniques, data, features, training, tuning, and validation.
• Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team to create software for big data and ML apps.
• Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
• Leverage cloud architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
• Construct optimized data pipelines to feed ML models.
• Utilize CI/CD, test automation and monitoring for successful deployments.
• Ensure code governance and responsible AI practices.
• Use Python, Scala, or Java.
