Job summary

Intel is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to advance agent harness research, model fine tuning, and production-ready post-training pipelines. The role sits at the intersection of research and engineering, designing algorithms, RL environments, and robust training workflows.

You will work on evaluating and improving model capabilities for agentic applications, with emphasis on efficient edge and on-prem deployment and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years in ML engineering, data science or ML research.
• Strong Python proficiency and software development experience.
• Experience designing evaluation benchmarks and measuring model improvements.
• Familiarity with LLM architectures and training dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Build evaluation benchmarks and metrics for model assessment.
• Develop agent harness and post-training pipelines, including data ingestion and checkpointing.
• Design RL environments, reward signals, and verification frameworks.
• Debug and optimize training runs, improving GPU utilization and numerical stability at multi-GPU scale.
