Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join an Agile team focused on productionizing ML applications at scale. You will design and implement ML solutions, review model and application code, and ensure high availability and performance of ML systems.

The role requires extensive experience with distributed computing, Python/Scala/Java, and ML frameworks, plus cloud-based architectures. You will collaborate across Ops, Modeling, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable data pipelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 6+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 4+ years programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions including data, model, and feature selection.
• Write, test, and deploy ML applications with robust CI/CD.
• Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams in an Agile setting.
• Retrain and monitor models in production.
• Develop and deploy ML solutions in cloud environments.
