Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and productionize ML models at scale. You will work with cross-functional teams to design architectures, select features, validate models, and ensure high availability of ML applications.

You will leverage cloud-based platforms (AWS) and a modern data pipeline stack, retraining models, monitoring performance, and driving best practices in Responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 6+ years designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing (internship excluded).
• 4+ years programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Inform ML infrastructure choices, including model, data, and feature selection, training, tuning, and validation.
• Write and test application code, develop/validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
