Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a remote-USA role reporting to the Manager AI Platform and Data Science. You will develop high-fidelity risk-identification solutions using AI, machine learning and data engineering to automate security analysis.

You will translate risk methods into agent logic, collaborate with threat research, build data pipelines, and deploy in our CI/CD framework while monitoring production systems in a distributed cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building LLM-powered agents in production with tool and function calling and multi-step orchestration (LangGraph, LangChain).
• 3+ years of professional Python development with production-quality systems, data contracts, and tests; strong SQL and analytics libraries (pandas/Polars/NumPy).
• Ownership of production reliability: CI/CD, containers, logging, metrics, observability, on-call, and incident debugging in AWS.
• Senior-level ownership and leadership of projects, development, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate risk identification methods into agent logic, considering task quality and explanations.
• Collaborate with threat-research to understand data and threats used in security heuristics.
• Identify data requirements and work with data engineering for pipelines and enrichments.
• Apply a data-driven approach to threat-detection with backtesting and quality control.
• Deploy and monitor solutions in production within the CI/CD framework.
