Job summary

Engg in San Jose, CA is seeking a highly skilled ML compiler designer to develop scalable compiler infrastructure for deep learning workloads. You will drive design, implement optimizations, and collaborate closely with hardware teams to integrate new ML techniques. A PhD or Master’s in CS/EE is preferred, with strong C++ expertise and a drive for innovation and teamwork. This role is onsite at our California office.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in compiler design and optimization techniques.
• Experience in developing and optimizing software for high-performance computing systems.
• Experience in LLVM / MLIR (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML compilers for high-performance deep learning applications.
• Optimize compilers for diverse hardware platforms.
• Develop staged lowering infrastructure for evolving workloads.
• Improve data locality to reduce energy consumption.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate ML techniques into the compiler.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver compiler features.
• Troubleshoot compiler issues and provide customer support.
• Contribute to ML compiler docs and user guides.
• Stay current with ML compiler and hardware trends.
