Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a motivated software engineer to join a core team building a cutting-edge machine learning model compiler for AIE in Ryzen AI devices. The compiler translates ONNX or PyTorch models into optimized code for the AIE VLIW array and coordinates partitioning with x86/FPGA.

You will work across ML frameworks, MLIR, and runtime components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance AMD technologies and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Strong software development skills and effective communication across teams.
• Experience with ML compiler tech and runtime is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate compiler and compiled model with ML Frameworks (ONNX, PyTorch)
• Implement model partitioning in ML Frameworks and/or MLIR
• Implement runtime to distribute work to and collect results from x86 cores and AIE cores
• Design and develop new AMD technologies
• Debug and fix existing issues and research more efficient approaches
