Job summary

May Mobility in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking Machine Learning Leaders for the Autonomous Vehicle domain to advance MPDM-driven ML capabilities in commercial, large-scale settings.

You will design and evaluate state-of-the-art models for autonomous driving, lead small cross-functional teams, and shape data practices for petabyte-scale datasets. The role includes mentoring ML engineers and working across vehicle and software platforms. Salary range $220,000–$270,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience in Vision Language Action Models, Generative World Models, or Foundation Models in Robotics.
• Experience handling large multi-modal datasets (>100TB) and long-tail failure scenarios.
• Strong Python/PyTorch skills in Linux environments; familiarity with LiDAR, camera and radar data.

Responsibilities

• Design, train and evaluate state-of-the-art models for autonomous driving, simulation and ML Platform stack.
• Lead small cross-functional teams beyond the state of the art.
• Define data balance, training experiments and evaluation practices for petabyte-scale data.
