Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Mission Planning Engineer for an onsite Tucson, AZ role requiring an active Secret DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will join a team of engineers developing mission planning solutions, coordinating with IPTs, and driving agile execution to support weapon employment concepts. The role emphasizes system engineering, software development, and cross-program collaboration, with travel for flight tests and onsite support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Software architecture, design, development, integration, and verification (VMs, C#, C++, Java).
• Experience building cross-platform .NET backend apps for cloud deployment.
• Experience with DevOps pipeline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of engineers and analysts to achieve Mission Planning objectives.
• Be the go-to source for mission planning expertise.
• Travel to witness flight tests and provide onsite support.
• Develop common mission planning solutions across programs, captures and IRADs.
• Grow a mission planning cadre with varied experience and skills.
• Develop team expertise in mission planning methods, software development, and tools.
• Coordinate with IPTs, Program Chief Engineer, and Program Management.
• Develop capability delivery plans and lead team execution in an agile framework.
• Engage in mission planning application software development and testing.
