Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control. This role reports to the Systems Effectors group and focuses on embedded flight software, simulations, and performance optimization for 6‑DoF systems.

The candidate will work in an agile environment, lead engineering teams, and collaborate across a broad portfolio of programs. A Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C/C++ are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• GNC, Signal Processing, or Modeling/Simulation experience required.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Conduct system‑level performance analyses to guide new capabilities.
• Lead backlog and plan development within an Agile framework.
• Mentor engineers and support program training initiatives.
• Support missile performance analysis including modeling and Monte Carlo assessments.
