Job summary

Anduril Industries in United States (Costa Mesa, CA) seeks a highly motivated flight test engineer focusing on developmental testing of new aircraft weapon and missile systems. You will work with program test leadership and cross‑functional teams to plan, coordinate, execute, and report on all facets of the test program.

The Test and Evaluation team conducts full system level development testing, production acceptance testing, and subsystems qualification testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years as test conductor/director for developmental aircraft, weapons or missiles.
• Strong fundamentals in engineering concepts and ability to apply them broadly.
• Experience with developmental weapon/missile systems on manned/unmanned aircraft.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-8591, MIL-STD-2088, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, AS8775, AS5653.
• Experience with test integration, suspension, arming, and release equipment.
• Familiarity with National Airspace System and UAS operations rules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute system-level Test & Evaluation of hardware and software.
• Lead or support test efforts for missile/weapon systems including development and integration testing.
• Collect data and perform initial analysis for the system under test.
• Collaborate with program management and engineering to develop requirements and discuss results.
• Create developmental test plans, test cards, updates and reports.
• Conduct ground and flight testing at private and government ranges.
• Maintain safe working practices and follow procedures.
