Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater in Columbus, MT is seeking a Supervisor - Sr. Engineer to lead strategic mine planning and reserves development. You will own the Life of Mine plan, drive economic analyses, and implement improvements across Montana operations.

The role requires strong technical skills in mine design, scheduling, and software tools such as Deswik/Vulcan, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word, with a focus on safety and team leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of mine engineering experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of overall experience with previously Long Range Design/Economic Analysis experience preferred.
• Strong familiarity with mine design and planning principles.
• Familiarity with mining economics, cash flows, and economic analysis.
• Proficient in Deswik/Vulcan or other 3D mine design software.

Responsibilities

• Own the Life of Mine (LOM) plan development and long-range mine scheduling.
• Lead development of annual Mineral Reserves and 5-year plans.
• Drive business improvement initiatives and process improvements across Montana operations.
• Manage reporting, SOX compliance, and documentation for mine planning.
