Job summary

Northern NV Jobs is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer in Nevada to lead the Technical Services team. You will oversee mine planning, scheduling, and design, coordinating with survey and drill-and-blast engineers to deliver weekly, monthly, and yearly production plans.

The role requires 5+ years in open pit engineering, strong safety leadership, and collaboration across cross-functional groups. Candidates should be adept with Vulcan or similar mine design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or related field (required).
• 5 years of experience in open pit engineering and planning.
• Experience with mine planning/design software, CAD and GIS; Vulcan preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement mine planning and mine design processes to maximize production efficiency.
• Carry out pit optimization studies and design life-of-mine pits, leach pads, and waste rock dumps.
• Create and update long-term mine plans and schedules aligned with resources and strategy.
