Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mine Closure Project Manager to join our team in the Western United States. This full-time leadership role requires nearly 20 years of consulting experience in mine closure remediation and environmental projects, with strong regulatory and entrepreneurial capabilities.

You will lead complex programs, develop strategies, mentor staff, and build multidisciplinary teams while driving safety, schedule, and financial performance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geosciences or related field with 10 years of mine closure experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 33%.
• Ability to pass client drug screen when required.
• Willingness to travel up to 33%.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine closure programs from investigation to closure with safety, schedule, and financial performance.
• Develop integrated mine closure strategies meeting regulatory requirements.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across hydrogeology, geotechnical, environmental science, and remediation.
• Engage clients and regulators to align project objectives.
• Manage risk, budgeting, forecasting, and margins.
• Mentor staff and build a culture of risk-based decision-making.
