Job description

Join a team that builds what matters. Our client, based in Fort Wayne, IN, is a rapidly growing leader in CNC precision machining, design engineering, and custom fabrication for aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and defense industries.

Base Pay Range

$22.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to fabricate metal parts or products.
  • Set up machines according to job specifications, including selecting the appropriate tools, loading materials, and adjusting machine settings.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, adjusting machine settings as necessary to maintain accuracy and precision.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials; report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
  • Work closely with management and staff to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setups, machine maintenance, and quality inspections.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, and propose solutions to management for implementation.
  • Receive training on quote creation, machine programming, safety procedures, and quality standards as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines and other metalworking equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and precision measurement tools is advantageous.
