Job summary

USfalcon seeks a Military Operations Planner, Craftsman to support USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE. You will develop, analyze, and refine complex operational and strategic plans, briefing senior leaders and producing written products to inform decision making.

Ideal candidates bring extensive Joint Operations Planning Process experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with DoD partners on campaign planning and crisis action reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to apply JOPP concepts to complex planning exercises.
• Strong analytical skills and research support for operational data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leader briefings.

Responsibilities

• Apply expert knowledge of Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP), deterrence theory, strategic environment analysis, and planning-in-crisis methodologies
• Develop, refine, and maintain campaign and operations assessments; enter logical, defendable assessments into applicable databases
• Produce graduate-level quality briefs and written reports with in-depth analysis supported by research and operational data
• Conduct mission analysis for CCMD-level operations, activity, and investment planning teams
• Collaborate with OSW, Joint Staff, CCMDs, Interagency partners, and international organizations on operational planning and assessment integration
• Develop strategy-to-task frameworks linking national-level guidance to operational and tactical actions
• Participate in wargames, exercises, operational planning teams, and crisis action planning reviews
• Support briefing preparation and presentation of assessment findings to senior leaders
• Maintain a working knowledge of National Defense Strategy, Unified Command Plan, Nuclear Posture Review, Joint Strategic Campaign Plans, and related strategic documents
