Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, or test finished welds and assemblies.
• Read blueprints and production schedules to determine instructions.
• Align and clamp parts in fixtures for bonding and welding.
• Lay out, fit, and join parts to be bonded with precision.
• Grind, cut, or finish edges for proper fit and welds.
• Inspect seams and rework defective joints or parts.
• Prepare surfaces and operate tools to ready components for welding.
• Maintain and adjust welding equipment for safe operation.
• Set up controls to regulate current and gas flow.
• Adhere to safety requirements and protect surrounding equipment.
