Job summary

Targa Resources Corp. seeks a Midstream Accounting Supervisor to lead a small accounting team, oversee plant accounting and GL activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical ability and SOX experience, with travel between Tulsa, OK and Houston, TX.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in energy, a BA/BS in accounting or finance, and proven leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5–7 years in energy-related field.
Lead level experience reviewing the work of others.
G/L background; proficient in Excel and Word.
Strong analytical, problem solving and writing skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
Good interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
Willing to work overtime during close/billing cycles; travel Tulsa OK and Houston TX.
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop accounting staff of 2–3 professionals.
Supervise plant accounting, maintain GL, coordinate daily activities, and perform month/quarter-end analysis.
Analyze group performance and drive process improvements.
Provide leadership in maintaining integrity of financial information.
Review and update SOX documentation and coordinate SOX testing.
Lead or participate in special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
