Job summary
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Microwave Research and Development Engineer to join the Electromagnetic Effects and Applications team at the Applied Research Laboratory in State College, PA. You will lead sensitive RF/microwave research, develop concepts, and oversee challenging experiments for diverse platforms including land, air, sea, and undersea missions.
The role requires extensive RF/microwave instrumentation expertise, lab and field measurements, and strong communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
- Strong knowledge of RF/microwave instrumentation and measurements.
- Experience in lab-based and field measurements of RF systems.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee sensitive R&D focused on applied electromagnetics as a Principal Investigator (PI).
- Provide technical leadership and develop concepts within the laboratory.
- Conduct RF/microwave lab-based and in-the-field measurements.
- Assist with field-measurement setups and test plans.
- Occasionally travel per sponsor and program requirements.
