Job summary

Crowe seeks a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Senior Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of D365 Supply Chain Management solutions for diverse clients. You will guide requirements, craft functional designs, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful delivery.

You will also conduct UAT, train end users, and provide post go-live support, striving for optimized inventory, procurement, and warehouse processes while building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong expertise in D365 SCM core modules (Inventory, Procurement & Sourcing, Sales & Marketing, Warehouse).
  • Experience with advanced SCM modules such as Master planning, Asset management, Transportation, or Quality management.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements and developing functional design documentation.
  • Experience supporting data conversions, integrations, and system customizations.
  • Strong understanding of SCM processes including procurement, inventory control, manufacturing, distribution, and logistics.
  • Experience leading client workshops and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a consulting environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional design for D365 SCM implementations and guide solution design.
  • Configure core SCM modules: inventory management, procurement, sales, product information management, and warehouse management.
  • Configure advanced SCM modules: master planning, asset management, transportation, and quality management.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and translate business needs into functional specs.
  • Develop functional design documents for customizations and enhancements.
  • Assist with process redesign and optimization for inventory, planning, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and UAT.
  • Provide post-go-live support and help drive end-user adoption.
  • Create training materials and conduct client trainings.

Overview

Crowe is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Senior Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solutions. This role is suited for an experienced D365 Supply Chain Management professional who works well in a client-facing environment and delivers high-quality ERP solutions.

Your Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will demonstrate deep functional and technical expertise in D365 Supply Chain Management and lead the implementation of core and advanced SCM modules. You will serve as a trusted adviser to clients, guiding them from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Functional Leadership & Solution Design: Demonstrate deep expertise in the D365 ERP platform and its SCM capabilities.
  • Configure D365 ERP core SCM modules, including:
    • Inventory management
    • Procurement and sourcing
    • Sales and marketing
    • Product information management
    • Warehouse management
  • Configure advanced SCM modules, including:
    • Master planning
    • Asset management
    • Transportation management
    • Quality management
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop functional design documents for customizations and system enhancements.
  • Define business scenarios and functional specifications to support solution delivery.
  • Assist with business process redesign and optimization initiatives, including inventory optimization, demand planning, and warehouse efficiencies.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate that configured solutions meet business requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to test customizations, data conversions, and integrations.
Documentation & Deliverables
  • Produce comprehensive functional documentation, including business process documentation, functional design documents, output/report specifications, and test plans and scripts.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Engage with clients to understand supply chain business processes and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for functional and technical SCM matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide post-go-live functional support and guidance and assist clients in driving user adoption.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
  • Develop training materials and conduct client training sessions.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with team members.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of the ERP practice.
Collaboration & Project Delivery
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with project leadership on timelines, scope, and objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and complete assigned project tasks and deliverables.
Practice Growth & Business Development
  • Identify and communicate new business opportunities related to D365 SCM implementations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive growth and revenue.
  • Support practice development initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other asset-driven industries
  • Microsoft Certification: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience with system integrations, EDI, or advanced warehouse automation solutions
Travel
  • Travel varies by project phase and can be up to 80%, depending on client needs.
