Job summary

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Microbiologist in Contamination Control to support quality control and assurance efforts.

You will assist the microbiology team with investigations and corrective actions, ensuring GMP-compliant practices across GRAM facilities, including environmental monitoring and bioburden testing. The role emphasizes cGMP knowledge, strong documentation, and ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field with 4–6 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of quality control, contamination control, and microbiology in pharma/biopharma/biotech manufacturing.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and author investigations for NCRs, EIRs, and LIRs.
• Perform training or SOP/TM revisions arising from Action Items/CAPAs.
• Maintain qualifications for routine micro tasks and support water sampling, environmental monitoring, and gas sampling.
• Serve as secondary trainer for Microbiology Technicians and Microbiologist I.
• Prepare quarterly and annual trend reports for GRAM facilities.
