Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Metrologist to oversee calibration activities in a medical device manufacturing setting. You will act as SME for metrology methodologies and manage calibration of diverse IM&TE and process equipment, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include developing and validating calibrations, performing uncertainty analyses, and coordinating with internal and external teams to prevent downtime. Strong knowledge of GD&T and ISO 17025 is essential.

Qualifications

• Physics or Engineering Degree and 2+ years in accredited calibration lab.
• Military Metrology training (PMEL/TMDE) considered a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and measurement uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Develops, validates, and performs calibration, maintenance, modification, and testing on IM&TE and process equipment.
• Conducts uncertainty analysis and test uncertainty calculations.
• Manages gauge requests and inventory of replacements and spare gauges.
• Coordinates calibration activities with production and vendors to minimize disruptions.
• Provides guidance and training on metrology principles and practices.
