Job summary

ZT Systems in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Staff Metrology & Inspection Engineer to develop and sustain measurement programs for CMM, vision, and optical inspection systems. You will translate GD&T requirements into actionable inspection plans and support high‑volume manufacturing and supplier quality activities.

The role emphasizes data analysis, MSA/GR&R, Cp/Cpk interpretation, and training technicians while partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Engineering to ensure inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in metrology, inspection engineering, or manufacturing quality.
• Strong GD&T, CMM programming, and SPC knowledge.
• Experience with CMM and vision systems (PC-DMIS, Calypso, OGP, etc.).
• Hands-on GR&R, MSA, and Cp/Cpk interpretation.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or complex supply chain (EMS/ODM preferred).
• Proficiency with Minitab or JMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain measurement programs for CMM, vision, and optical inspection systems.
• Support Incoming, In-Process, and Supplier Quality inspection activities, including print review.
• Perform root cause analysis on measurement nonconformances and support CAPA.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Engineering for ramp readiness.
• Create SOPs, inspection docs, and train technicians.
• Execute MSA, Cp/Cpk, and GR&R to ensure reliability.
