Job summary

Windsor Standards Lab in Windsor, CT is seeking a Senior Standards Lab Supervisor to lead calibration operations and ensure measurement accuracy across manufacturing applications. This hands-on role focuses on ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 compliance, process improvements, and mentoring junior technicians.

You will oversee complex calibration and reporting, maintain certification records, and collaborate with Quality, Repair, and Operations teams to drive performance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a calibration or metrology lab.
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Experience with lab instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 environments.
• Excellent communication and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex calibration, measurement, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Maintain calibration certifications, records, and database integrity.
• Improve lab procedures, work instructions, and recertification processes.
• Support ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 compliance and audit readiness.
• Maintain and validate measurement equipment performance.
• Identify issues impacting quality or accuracy and recommend corrective action.
• Mentor junior technicians and support workflow prioritization.
• Partner with Quality, Repair, and Operations teams.
• Perform customer sample testing and validate reporting accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across lab operations.
• Support KPI tracking, system improvements, and leadership coverage as needed.
