Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience in meter operations.
• Safety and team-oriented mindset.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to lead equipment acceptances, runoffs, and time studies.
• Ability to create equipment specifications to meet safety, testing, and operations requirements.
• Knowledge of NFPA79 and OSHA requirements.
• Knowledge of Total Quality Management systems and processes.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions.
• Project management experience.
• PE license (preferred).
• MBA or related degree (advantage).
• Experience in metering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight of all engineering activities for PG&E's Meter Testing Facility (GEMS).
• Coordinate with Gas and Electric Engineering and cross-functional teams to meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, and deliverables.
• Ensure QA testing is effective and compliant with CPUC requirements, and promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop/maintain standards, procedures and strategic plans for metering operations and asset management.
