Qualifications

  • A. Degree: Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related natural science with prescribed coursework.
  • B. Combination of education and experience with specialized experience at GS-13 level requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shift responsible for quality and timeliness of forecast products, warnings, and advisories.
  • Conduct weather watches using Doppler radar, satellite data, and hydrometeorological analyses.
  • Serve as primary liaison with FAA, FEMA, and local agencies on weather-related actions.
  • Manage general office duties including staffing and overtime/leave approvals.
