Job summary

Jefferies seeks an associate for its Metals and Mining Equity Research team in New York. You will build and maintain financial models and industry databases, analyzing industry data, macro trends, and commodity market fundamentals to support research reports distributed to clients.

You will write earnings, company, and initiation reports, review filings and publications, and help develop client materials, meet management teams, and participate in conferences as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with high GPA
• 3-5 years mining and/or financial services experience
• Strong Excel, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models and industry databases.
• Write reports including earnings, company, and initiation reports.
• Analyze industry data, macro trends, and commodity market fundamentals.
• Communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients.
