Job summary

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer in San Jose, California. The successful candidate will manage complex structural design projects, providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering and a PE license in California or Nevada. The compensation ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of structural design experience with a minimum of 3+ years designing structural components for HVAC & Plumbing projects/systems required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or Nevada required.
• Demonstrated success mentoring and coaching engineers at various levels a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple structural projects that vary in complexity.
• Mentor and coach Design Engineers I and II on design best practices.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on structural design matters.
